Jon grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University. Jon ran his Edward Jones practice in St. Charles and retired in 2023. Pam runs her Landscape and Interior Design business in St. Charles as well. Jon didn’t seek out political office, he was asked by several community leaders to run and help fix things in Kane County government.
Jon thrives on serving others and has been quite active in the Fox Valley for many years. He has served as President of the Anderson Humane Board, President of St. Charles Kiwanis club, Board member of the Literacy Volunteers of Fox Valley and the St. Charles Park Foundation. He also served on the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Deferred Prosecution Panel and as an election judge.
He volunteers for Christ Community Church, Lazarus House, Wayside Cross, Kids Hope, Alzheimer’s Association, The Boy Scouts and is President of The Fox Valley Hands of Hope Board in Geneva. In 2023, Jon earned the Distinguished Eagle Scout award for a lifetime of community service.
Jon and his wife Pam have been married since 2007 and reside in St. Charles. They have four adult children. Jon retired in 2023 and is now dedicating his time to refocusing and improving the Kane County Board’s work for the taxpayers of our County.
I am a Christ follower and work each day to improve myself and set a good example for others.
Integrity and honesty are critical to my life. They guided my financial advising practice and lead me to work hard for the good of the community.
Being a County Board member is not a part time job. It deserves dedicated service from people who serve the community in other ways, not just as a Board member.
Our elected officials should be motivated by more than benefits and a nice salary.
Accountability is very important to me.
I have always had accountability partners in my personal life that I meet with weekly.
As a County Board member, I would look to the voters for accountability with quarterly update events to let the voters hear what’s going on and to let me hear their perspective on how the Board and I are doing.
